The company was founded in 2004 in Sweden by three friends, Andreas Nyberg, Åke Lundén and Markus Kullendorff. In 2015, Benify had 300 employees in seven countries in Europe. Today, the company operates in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain and France.
In 2013 and 2014, the company was named a Super company by the newspaper Veckans Affärer. Benify has been one of Sweden's fastest-growing companies for several years in a row, according to DI Gasell.
